My new green friends.

Okay kind of nerdy that I think of my plants as little green companions, but they kind of are. So easy to cheer up when you have a healthy, happy plant just turning your CO2 into oxygen. Here are some new plants that I have gotten good deals on recently that have just made my room so much more green. I think Naomi said my bedroom now looks like an Arabian prince's (did I get that wrong?). I'm down.

The palm I bought on sale in an Arizona grocery store...random...and the little striped succulent is from a really cool art & plant store on Abbot Kinney in Venice. After Moby's destructive couple of episodes of knocking over my tiny spider plant and killing it in addition to slowly eating his way through my original succulent, I went for sturdier plants this time around. Notice the foil? The kitties hate the foil.

Also, I really really like the tenthings shop on Etsy as I have previously said before. Like too much. This is why:
Ahhh I just can't help myself, I just want to endlessly buy jewelry on Etsy. All day long. I have yet to give in to this desire, but it's there...also I'm craving skirts. More on that soon.

In love with...a dress.

I always love Kate Walsh and her red-haired sexiness...but she has topped herself this time.

I am obsessed with this dress. I don't do the daydreamy imagining-and-planning-my-wedding-10-years-in-advance thing...but I would without a doubt wear an off-white/ivory version of this dress at my wedding. I love Grecian inspired dresses, and this fabric just hangs beautifully. I am smitten with this dress. And I can't find a picture of the back of it yet, but when I do...

I also came across this beautiful dress on none other than Whitney Port. Don't love the hair at all, new hair stylist needed, but this dress simply radiates elegance.

Now, if only I had a reason to dress to the nines. A girl can dream.

I love these booties and think they would be simply great for this fall (tights, dresses, skirst, so versatile)...and they have a 1.5" heel...which means they're not flats. But they would still FEEL like flats. Ideal.

I think I found something[s] I want for my birthday. Since I cannot order the entire J.Crew fall collection, let me just say that it is simply fantastic. I've never been that huge a fan of J.Crew, but they are seriously stepping up their game. That or I'm "coming of age" as they say and now it's suddenly appealing to me. Let's hope it's the former rather than the latter.

These Rayban sunglasses for J.Crew are everything I've been looking for and oh so much more. I'm over cheap sunglasses that keep falling apart. I think I've bought $100 worth of crappy sunglasses, might as well go for the REAL DEAL that will last a lifetime. [Birthday approaching!]

These cropped cords in "soft ochre" are fall perfection. And the blazer, glasses, loose striped shirt...everything about this outfit...

I love the idea that you can train a bunny to live indoors. Bunnies are the best, we had so many growing up and they were such fun/nice pets.

Food Diary

Such a busy day today at work! I was furiously database-entering all morning, and then suddenly it was 2pm and I was contemplating eating my office plant. But it was Trader Joe's to the rescue! I am now happy and fed while typing this, and my poor plant is still alive. AND I made a discovery! The "Egg White Salad with Chives" from TJ's is life-changing. Not just because I was calorie-deprived. This is good stuff people. I might have to make this myself one weekend.

Mmmmmm, now I simply cannot wait for my next life-changing meal - dinner at Father's Office. While it may not be the most protein / calorie-conscious choice while in the middle of P90X, sometimes you just have to enjoy a good meal out with a good friend.
It really is the simple things. Food being one of them.

I love these rings by designer Kiel Mead. They are simple yet beautiful and fun. Just can't get them out of my distracted Monday mind (seriously though, my productivity today = NIL).

Four new friends.

Meet my new friends! Mourning the loss of my wonderful beta fish, Davy Jones, I ended up giving my iPhone the name "Davy Jones" as I was registering it online at Apple. Needless to say, Naomi and Jackie saw this as a sad cry for help. They surprised me with four goldfish!

I have to say, they're absolutely addicting to watch, they're so strange and lively. I've named two of them so far - Tupac and Captain Jack (Sparrow). If any good fish names come into mind, you know who to call.
